The 6th edition of SEE MEET, the 2-day international B2B event of Southeast Europe, will be organized on October 20th and 21st on-line (virtual).

In just two days, participants get an opportunity to conduct up to 24 individual meetings with potential business partners, introduce themselves and establish contacts, or start a future project.

The organizers and their partners, will again attracted a wide array of companies both by their respective field of work or country of origin.

About SEEmeet
The idea of SEE MEET was born in 2014, when the first edition was organized in Radenci (Pomurje region) in Slovenia. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, the event moved to Maribor and was even more successful. In 2020 due to covid situation the event merged to SEEmeet Lectures. 

The main goal was and remains - offering a platform for companies to establish new business connections. The focus of the event is to connect companies from Southeast Europe among themselves and with companies from Northwest Europe, thus becoming an important European business generating hotspot. This year we will have special attention on companies coming from the fields of manufacture of machinery and metal products, production of electrical equipment, information and communication technology sector and as well as other related services.

As a joint project, the event is organised by the Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia - SPIRIT and 10 regions from Slovenia.

The German company has been active in online trade with accessories for notebooks for two years and is looking for a professional hardcase manufacturer. Preferably the partner should be experienced in hardcase production from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastics or aluminium alloys.

The German start-up was founded 2019 and has specialised in online trade with accessories for computers and mobile communication devices, especially cases for notebooks. The company is looking for manufacturers of hardcases made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastics or aluminium alloys.

The hardcase should have a slim, smart and clean minimalistic look. The product which is currently under development will combine outdoor hardcase characteristics with a compact and clean looking design. The outdoor specifications include toughness as well as shock and water resistance - if possible in connection with a waterproof seal. 

With regard to the stage of development, the start-up is currently finalizing the prototype. To this end, the team is working on including further parts into their prototype. Their challenge is that special parts such as locks and hinges have to be attached or integrated into to the hardcase top and bottom case parts.

Concerning the manufacturing agreement envisaged, the management is interested in different pricing options for the moulds which have to be designed for producing their hardcase with aluminium or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) materials. A specific mould will be needed in order to produce their customized products according to the existing design specifications. Therefore, the company would like to evaluate in a first step which material would be the most cost-efficient way to produce their hardcases. This can be either aluminium or ABS. The company would like to choose the most cost-efficient approach, while keeping their design standards as well as technical characteristics of the hardcase high.

For a successful cooperation, the start-up is looking for a business partner who can work according to their design specifications. The partner should be willing to finalize the prototype together with the German company. The manufacturer should be able to include the special parts such as hinge (preferably torque hinges) and lock types. A waterproof seal is preferable but not a must. These and more characteristics can be discussed in order to finalize the prototype together and later on create a mould for the production of a series.

The company is looking for reliable partners. A long-term cooperation is envisaged. They aim to grow the business together by producing and reinvesting in new products of the same category and more.

An innovative Danish SME develops and produces motion platforms for use with racing and flight simulation games on behalf of prime customers in the gaming industry.

Founded in 2013 this Danish SME started their innovative ideas based on a mutual interest in virtual reality combined and interest in racing cars and combat aeroplanes. The wish to develop a motion-based platform that could support the images from the virtual reality experience and by that expand the 3D vision and feelings into an even more complete experience for the user, led to the first prototype model produced in a wood based structure for personal use.

Exploring the markets, the SME found simulator platforms being produced over the years were mainly focused on the gaming environment in arcades and game halls. However, the company found that they could expand the quality level by their own technologies to improve the total experience for users. This led to a high-end product even suitable for Formula 1 car manufacturers for test driving simulation and flight simulation for real pilots under education. 

The SME is now looking for a sourcing partner who can provide precision production in a high quality level of all the metal parts for the console units. The preferred partner has a production set-up with the ability to handle hard tubes, sheet metal plates, bending processes, installing inserts and pop rivets. For this, laser cutting or press Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining is required. The partner must be able to work with tolerances down to 0.1 mm. Extreme precision is a necessity as all parts must fit tightly together. Furthermore, all parts needs to be heat-treated to ensure the high quality before the required powder coating according to further specifications.

The company expects that an outsourcing partner, preferably from the Baltic Sea region or Eastern Europe will have the potential to engage in further development and processes based on their technology knowledge and experience and by that become an important partner for this Danish SME in relation to future innovation projects.
